Debbie Caudle - Principal

Debbie CaudleWe are pleased to welcome back Debbie Caudle as principal of Westview Elementary School. Mrs. Caudle was assistant principal at Westview from 2016-2018 and worked with parents to form a chess club at the school.  Caudle worked closely with teachers to improve teaching skills and the academic performance of students.  Before moving into administration, she was a third and fourth-grade teacher at Wallace A. Smith Elementary.  She wrote and was awarded a technology grant to begin a news team at Smith for students to deliver the daily announcements in a news format.  Caudle started The Blue Knights chess club at Smith and was one of two teachers from Hamilton County Schools at a round-table discussion with Governor Bill Haslam.  She also taught at Woodmore Elementary in Hamilton County, as well as at Polk County Schools in Lakeland, Florida; and Dallas Independent School District in Dallas, Texas.  Caudle holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee, and a master’s from Nova Southeastern University.


Andrew LaFevor - Assistant Principal

My name is Andrew LaFevor, and I have been with Hamilton County Schools since 2005.   I am so excited begin my third year at Westview, and look forward to working with your children and being able to serve all the families of this great community. I was a member of the first cohort of the LEAD program for aspiring assistant principals, and have been accepted into the fourth cohort for aspiring principal LEAD through Hamilton County Schools.  I previously worked at Red Bank Middle School, as a classroom teacher (Math, Science, and Social Studies).  Most recently I served as the Dean of Students and academic coach.  I was a member of Cohort 14 of Leadership Fellows through the Public Education Foundation.  Following that I was in the Protégé program though YPAC (Young Professional Association of Chattanooga).  In 2016, I was a Golden Apple teacher of the month, and a finalist for the year end award.    I have been married to my wife Jenna since 2010, and our daughter Landry is eleven years old.  We have one dog, (Reba) she is a chocolate lab.  In my spare time, I like to work on our family’s farm in Dunlap, Tennessee.
