For the 2020-21 school year, Hamilton County Schools is excited to announce a fully virtual learning environment. Any resident of Hamilton County going into kindergarten through twelfth grade can choose to participate in a remote learning experience connected to their current zoned school or the magnet school they are enrolled in for the upcoming school year.

The remote learning option features courses in mathematics, science, language arts, social studies, as well as related arts and electives. The remote learning environment will also be able to accommodate courses in world languages and career and technical education (CTE) that are offered at the student’s current school. Students desiring a full virtual learning environment are encouraged to apply.

In this learning environment, students will experience learning which occurs remotely with a Hamilton County teacher from their zoned school, academic supports, and access to learning anywhere.

All Hamilton County students will remain enrolled in their home school. While students must commit to at least one semester of a full remote course load, students will have the option to participate in clubs and organizations at their zoned school. They can also participate in athletics at their zoned school (subject to eligibility). Students who graduate from high school while participating as a remote student will receive a diploma from their zoned Hamilton County Schools and are eligible for honors graduate designations.
